Wild Iguanas in Florida
You folks at the upcoming Microsoft Conference in Orlando should keep an eye out for these. They are an invasive species, and appear to be living just about anywhere in Florida.
They like water and canals, and can grow to a very impressive size. The photo shows one at a private residence in Plantation, Florida (near Fort Lauderdale).
They aren't dangerous and will flee if approached. Iguanas like to sun themselves on warm days, especially on bike paths and walkways around canals and lakes.
They are beautiful, but unfortunately do not really belong here.

Recently, I heard that iguanas taste like chicken. Is that true?
